Synopsis:

All the army gathered at the king’s house to go to battle the next day. At that meeting, as usual a great party was organized with their respective markets, …

At that party, one of the queen’s ladies was the favorite of all the king’s knights. There were two gentlemen, who since childhood, were friends and thanks to their feats, they had risen in their positions until they became knights of the court.

The two knights were in love with the queen’s lady, named Ines de Tordesilla. They had been courting the lady all night and challenging each other. When Ines got off the table, a glove fell off her lap and the two gentlemen went to pick it up.

Because the two wanted the flavors of Ines, they challenged each other to a duel. Such was the situation that the king intervened and sent each one to his chamber. But the knights stayed to meet at night and end the rivalry.

That night they went out to duel and agreed that the winner would keep the favors of Dona Ines.

It was a dark night and the only lighted place they found was at the foot of a cross with a skull and lit by a candle.

The duel with the swords began and at that moment the light went out. They parted and the light came back on. They started the duel again and the light went out again. They flattered each other again and the light returned. They were shocked by the incident and suddenly they heard a great roar.

The two knights decided not to duel and ask Ines to choose her knight herself. When they approached her balcony, they saw a man descend from Ines’s balcony, who was her lover.

They laughed and decided to forget about Ines.

The next day, when their troops marched past, and passed in front of Ines, the gentlemen laughed at the same time and Ines realized that she had lost the fabores of the two knights.

Personal opinion: I really enjoyed it . I strongly recommend it.
